Data processing as simple as 1 2 3 ....

Using the Labgrab© case sample wizard, shaping your sampled data to your preferred specifications is as simple as 1 2 3 ...

  • 1st step: select a case with a representative layout for the cases you want to process.

  • 2nd step: select your preferred type of sampling. You can combine data of different files into one output file for each processed case, or you can combine the same variable over different cases into one output file. Select the extract interval (one output sample per ... seconds), and the default way to sample.

  • 3rd step: select the variable(s) to process. For each variable, select the preferred way of sampling. Variables from different input files can be combined. For CaseCombineSample, a different output file is created per variable. Each output file groups the sampled data for a specific variable for all selected cases.

  • ... last step: select the cases on which to apply the processing.
  • All cases will be processed as specified. Processing may take some time, depending on the number of cases to be processed. For an average of 45 cases to be processed, processing may require 5 to 15 minutes on a PIII 850 with 256 MBytes of memory. Processing speed will heavily benefit from added memory.
Keep in mind that processing requires reading all cases' files and processing all data, and compare this to the time it would take you to read all files in excel and to execute some manual way of subsampling....
